Weary Ghost

Waves of cumbersome

Weariness collide with our consciousness,

And cause us to cry out with a passionate anguish.

Oppressed by the nooses fixed onto

Our hearts cause to us to produce excuses

Which reduces our views of existence.

Passing by in life and watching our hours get

Devoured by the barren pits of buried imaginations.

Imaginations of worldly triumphs.

Our talents have been abandoned by us,

In order to become compliant to a society

Of complacent sluggards.

Souls erased by the contentment of

Mediocrity.

Humanity has displaced the virtue

Of Humility.

Definition of success hidden by unwise

Lies.

Lies that make us think we’ll find ourselves.

The deception of wealth causes us to become overwhelmed

And feel deprived of the blessings we already own.

The Distortion of fame creates an illusion of inclusion,

But in reality we experience exclusion as a result of shunning those

Who tend to our emotions.

Pursing Success is a misrepresentation of an intact life

That is full of strength.

Because in reality,

The pursuit of prosperity creates a phony painting

That leads to our mental health fainting.

Developed into a ghost deprived of delightful worth.

Weary and crushed with a yearning for vital rebirth.
