Voice gained from taking ENG 114

By taking this class in the spring semester, it gave me a opportunity to express and identify a voice of my own through writing. My writing has changed drastically from the beginning to end. In the beginning of the semester I have no organization and syntax in my writing. With the writing exercises we have in class I began to start to develop a style of writing of my own. With the help of outlining before writing each of the paper, my ideas and thesis are closely linked. With well picked out quotes to support my argument and followed by analysis. It might sounds like I’m writing a five part paragraph, but I broke my old writing habit, it made my writing more detailed without trying to fit all my thoughts and opinions in the three body paragraph. And especially through the voice project, it gave me a platform to express my “voice” and tell my story in my writing. It made me feel powerful that my writing can transform in a short span of time. Voice can be found in all forms and in my case I gained a new skill to strengthen my writing to be better structured so my thoughts is well delivered to the audience. And they get to know me through my writing.
