On the Analysis Paralysis of Starting

Getting started can seem overwhelming. Getting started with thousands of people trying to tell you how to do that is overwhelming.

But there are two secrets of being a creative online that I’ve already learned, but didn’t fully internalize until today.

When starting, just start. Pixel perfect websites, social media, monetization, etc. can make anything seem daunting. Cutting out the noise and focusing on what you want to create makes everything a lot simpler. After creation, then look at the best ways to display it and market it. Weeding through options will be easier with your content already done.

Making something, no matter how small, always trumps making nothing at all.
