A fictional story about a day in 2050 when NFTs have conquered the world.

You wake up by your alarm clock. At the same time music starts which you like. You feel good and get up. The blinds are open as far as you want them to be. The coffee is already brewing and the light in the bathroom comes on when you enter.

You have a NFT which gives you the rights to configure your alarm clock app the way you want. You can also include any playlist from any provider, including the NFT music that will be widespread in the year 2050.

Your smart home app is connected to another NFT. This activate your profile in the app and your preferences will be implemented (blinds only halfway, coffee is already brewed,…). Through different NFTs, the provider offers the possibility to control more or less devices.

While you are having breakfast you listen to some news. No you are not scrolling through Twitter. The messages are tweets that you like and selected for you. Of course, you can also watch them on a screen at the same time.

The NFT allows you to use different services for Twitter, e.g. read aloud and parallel scrolling — furthermore your preferences are stored in your profile.

After that you get ready and go to work. For this you simply put on a pair of VR glasses. In the metaverse you walk through the city center to the office. You arrive there, greet your colleagues and sit down at your workstation.

Now you switch from the VR glasses to your laptop,because you are now logged in and have access to all systems and data you need.

You have a NFT to get into the Metaverse and if necessary to travel by bus or train. This way you can also do it in real life, limited to your city. You could own another one to go by cab. Again, you can use cabs for free in your hometown or even further.

Access to the office is through an NFT from your employer. The action of sitting down instantly connects your laptop to everything you need, since you have the NFT necessary to do so.

As always, you decide during the morning whether or not you want to stay in the Metaverse during your lunch break. You stay there and want to go to the colleague to the canteen, you choose your meal.

When it actually becomes lunch time, your doorbell rings in real life. While your avatar sits with your girlfriend in the canteen, you both get the food delivered that you ordered in the morning in real life and in the Metaverse.

Through the food selection, the food is immediately ordered at a delivery service so that it is on time with you — thanks to the authorization for it via the corresponding NFTs. So you can sit in the Metaverse canteen and eat at home at the same time.

After dinner, you stroll around the neighborhood for a while. You get flyers with discounts for a cool after-work party. Maybe you’ll go. The window of the clothing store has a few great pieces, you go in. In fact, you come out with a purchase.

The flyer is an NFT with a discount code for the after-work party.

By purchasing the clothing, you get the NFT for that clothing. You could put it on your avatar immediately in the metaverse. You can also get the clothes delivered to your delivered to your home.

After that you are back in the office and looking forward to the after-work party. Before you go there you decide whether you want to do it in real life or in the Metaverse. Just before closing time, the doorbell rings and you get a package.

The clothes you bought before are delivered, since you bought the NFT for the metaverse and real life.

First you want to stay in the Metaverse, but maybe you want to go there later in real life. With the flyer you get the promised discount and go to party.

The party looks good, there are some people there, you check if it is the same in real life. It is confirmed. That’s why you wanted to go in real life. You put on the new clothes that were delivered before.

The NFT flyer allows you to enter at a discount. The entrance is another NFT whereby the flyer-NFT expires.

You meet your girlfriend at the entrance and you both can get in, without paying anything of course.

The NFT with the entrance is of course also valid in real life.
